一：在http://earth.google.com/ 下载google earth,
二：在http://earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/catalogs/eqs7day-age.kmz下载插件！
三：运行google earth,在文件（file）下面打开（open）eqs7day-age.kmz，在fly to 下面敲下chengdu,即可看到7天内发生的地震，每五分钟更新一次
太懒了，自责一哈，不能再拖了，再拖，“格美”就要过去了，就抓一些记录性的文字吧！仔细看打开页面的图片，都可以看到台风行走的轨迹，这张图片的另外一个优点是给出了受台风影响的区域，现在在GE上还没有看到这样的插件。
GE Blog 搜集了并整理了一些关于天气方面的插件，并整和在the weather and tracking tools network link 
里，上面提供六个插件，分别是：
1：Hurricanes - Live positions
Updated every 10 minutes,This excellent network link shows hurricanes world wide, their track, forecasted path, satellite images, and links to nearby web cams for each storm.
目前有三个热带风暴：DANIEL-06,EMILIA-06,KAEMI-06.抓了一些图片。
并 且里面还有一张由C.Parsons制作的气象云图。（This cloud map has transparency information built in so it’s easier to see the land masses under the clouds.）
2：Global Cloud Map

目前只是了解皮毛，里面有的很多东西，值得多次玩味。
最近印度洋又有地震了，并且引起了海啸（tsunami） ，级数7.7级，看到163上的新闻上说印尼政府已经提前收到海啸警报，但没有通知民众，原因仅仅是害怕信息出错（技术研究国务部长库斯马扬托·卡迪曼对媒体说：“如果没有发生海啸，那将会怎样？），我靠！！！
一 说起海啸，是不是想到了什么？可能我们同时都想到了去年的印度洋灾难了。 当时世界上最主要的海啸预警中心，位于夏威夷美国太平洋海啸预警中心当时预测到了海底大地震的发生，但因最先预测到的地震级别低于已经发生的级别，就向太 平洋区域各国发出了“无须大虑”的信息，他们也试图提想可能受害的印度洋各国加强警戒，但由于他们的通讯录上没有印度洋各国的电话号码，所以就放弃了，当 时看的是三联生活周刊的专题（2005.Jan.VOL2），现在在网上找到了一篇当时的文章4小时生死时速,可以回顾一下。
事后，大家的反映不一。由于海啸的传播速度每小时700～800多 公里，相当于喷气客机的速度，而我们依赖的通讯是以光速传播的，遗憾的是，那次科学家们 并未能在海啸到来之前把消息通知到沿海居民那里，这是事实，所以有人说：“在真正致命的灾害和危险面前，科学往往是无助的——最后一分钟的生死时速不会， 也不可能重演”；另外一种说法是，并且所有的大地震都会产生破坏性海啸，历史上太平洋海域中曾有多次大的海啸，因此建有预警系统，相反，印度洋没有这样的 系统，这也是事实，所以有人归结为“印度洋缺乏海啸预警系统”是那次灾害的首要因素。
从新闻中看到的是 美国太平洋海啸预警中心和日本气象厅的海啸警报通知了印度尼西亚，看来是他们已经有电话号码了，但印度尼西亚政府却没有通知他们的民众，原因让人无法理 解。虽然这次震级比上次小，但也造成了不小的伤害，已经两次教训了，下次应该就会做好转移的准备了吧。
算了，不说这个了，现在切入主题，希望他们国家有人用GE ，看到Gearthblog写到USGS地震监测网络提供了插件（ USGS earthquake monitoring network link ）可以察看1周内发生过的地震：
在Eeath显示一周之内1级以上的地震，每5分钟更新一次数据。用红色显示1小时之内的地震，橙色显示1天之内的地震，黄色显示的1周之内的地震，圆圈越大，震级越高；地震的数据（例如：M 7.7, Indonesia July 17, 2006 08:19:25 GMT Lat: -9.3110 Lon: 107.2838 Depth:

前几天在QQ上见到YN，由于他们家乡的西瓜很好吃，遂调侃说，很想念他………..们家的西瓜，YN敲来字说他们家乡遭到了11级的大风，还有小孩子死亡了，他很伤心，默哀三分钟。

这几天上网也特别留意关于气象的文章，所以稍微和气象相关的文章，就能吸引我的眼球。当看到”第27版的超级计算机TOP500已经出台，中国排在最前的是35位的气象分析计算机。” 此前的排名是26，看来又有不少不少超级计算机诞生了。

最后又联想到了Google earth,一些GE的爱好者，推出了全球卫星云图，每隔三小时更新一次，下面的是引用作者的原话。
| A couple of weeks ago the really nice Global Cloud Map I had written about last September stopped working. I contacted the author Chris Parsons, ‘ChrisMDP’ at the Google Earth Community, and found out he could no longer host it. This weekend I contacted some folks on the GE team and they were kind enough to host the image and code for us. If you haven’t seen this before, it is a near real-time representation of the entire globe of clouds (updated every 3 hours). It makes Google Earth look like the real Earth from space. One thing that makes it nice is the satellite images are processed to put transparency where there are no clouds (so the Earth comes through clearly). Download the new Global Cloud Map now and enjoy!
